Who can see messages on the public numbers?
Everyone. The UK and US numbers on the Public tab are shared, so any text sent to them is visible to all users. Don't use them for anything private. If you see a message that shouldn't be there, long-press it and choose Report and remove; it is deleted straight away.
How do I get a private number?
Open the Private tab, continue with Apple, and subscribe to a UK or US number. Your number is usually ready within 24 hours, and you'll get a notification when it is. Only you can see texts sent to it.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple: open Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone or iPad and choose International SMS. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid being charged for the next month.
I reinstalled the app or changed device
Continue with the same Apple Account on the Private tab, then tap Restore purchases.
How do I delete my account?
On the Private tab, tap the account button at the top right and choose Delete account. This deletes your account and the messages on your private numbers. It doesn't cancel the subscription, which you cancel in Settings.
Refunds
Purchases are made through Apple, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
